Back in the old days, when WoW was beautiful and sunsets were amazing.

8.3 came out and I closed down

Blizzard released 8.3 some time in January(?), I played for month or so until my subscription ended.
And then, I didn't feel like playing anymore. 8.3 was terrible, there was another grind in old/revamped areas from Cata and MoP, It was fun for 2-3 days but then the repeating again and again wore me down.

I also hunted several WoW secrets I had missed...like "Waist of Time – Secret Cosmetic Belt" or "Baa’l – Secret Demonic Goat Battle Pet". That was fun. But not enough.

Meanwhile GeForce Now is out, allowing me to play remotely with high quality and I've been buying a few games:

Witcher 3 - I'm playing Blood and Wine and finding out this DLC is like a Witcher 4, it's HUGE ! <3 div="">
Eurotruck - I bought it and will be playing a lot. Nice simulators and a way to see Europe without Corona Virus :D
Tomb Raider - I got all 3 now, cheap cheap, I'm nearly 50% of the first Tomb Raider, which has a similar plot to the movie from a few years ago with the new Lara (not Angelina, the other one).
Assassin's Creed - Playing a few, Origins in Egypt and Syndicate in the XIXth urban London.
Kingdom Come : Deliverance - Middle Age at its best.. a difficult and REALISTIC game.
Destiny 2 - Played a bit.
Black Desert - Played just a tiny bit.
Guild Wars 2 - Playing the season quests... stopped farming more mounts, it was hard (too ?)

All of them free or at a a minor cost...and lots of future fun.

WoW ? Hmmm...

Netcownt of the Deeps....classic...and #BoycottBlizzard FTW

8.2 has come out, 8.2.5 has come out, and my solo adventures have been focused in finishing the meta-achievement for Nazjatar and Mechagon. Well, Nazjatar is done today !With it came my first (and last, most probably !!!) rank 4 neck essence.
Other retail adventures..nothing really. My 15 yr Quie guild is now empty, and I'll be leaving soon for sure, if I continue to play (there we go again!).
Oh yes, I've been leveling a lot of alts, mostly to get my heritage armors and allied races to 110 (more achievements, nham nham).
PVP, it's been a failure since I got Conqueror. I can't get people to duel in Boralus, I can't even get in a PVP expedition for some more achievements or PVP essences... my last quote from a fellow player was "My 3rd alt has higher gear than you." as he declined my invite. I'm 424 so ... I'll continue to solo play this wonderful Massive Single Player game, single for those except a few lucky bastards that can get a guild where people actually play, don't leave, are mature, friendly...  a needle in a haystack.

And then there was Classic. I started playing day 1, and have been playing mostly daily except a week on holidays. I went for druid, I wanted a stealth for PVP, and a hybrid choice to be able to change after 60, whenever I wanted.
Druids feel good. Not good enough to kill more than 1 mob at once unless I go tank, so I watch priests, warlocks, mages, warriors, hunters happily kill 2 mobs in a row, while I struggle in feral to kill more than one and live to tell. But it's good, survivability is great, and I even learned to get away from nasty rogues that gank me and live to tell. Well, sometimes I gank too. Previlege of stealth mode.
My classic guild is my old SDD guild from WOTLK, so there's some nice chaps. I leveled up to 30 running dungeons with them, but then I could not keep up with RL+retail+classic, so I kinda went solo mode now, at 45, using rest XP to the max to kill mobs. It's going smooth and by the numbers as the dude in Aliens would say.

Finally... this week there was trouble with Blizzard, yep, I cancelled my subscription. Not the first time. Not the last, quite probably. But 1 month or so AFK after I hit 60 in classic will do me good, a chance to do some more Assassin's Creed and Witcher 3 extra missions.

Conqueror of Azeroth

Wow, it's been an entire year ! I can't even remember what went on, but...oh yeah, Battle for Azeroth came out, and I played it solo style.
My damn Quie guild played up to 120 but after a few dungeons, most went in hiatus mode, so I switched to PVP and mostly pursued the Conqueror of Azeroth achievement, while running the factions to exalted, killing rares, and little else.
I never ran so few dungeons, heroic or mythic, up to these days. Most times I went it as pug, I felt disconnected with the game, so much I cannot remember dungeon names, paths inside, outdoor zone names, etc.
In Februrary I went AFK and restarted playing The Witcher 3, and completed it in June, just in time for patch 8.2.

With 8.2 up, I got Pathfinder/flying last week and I completed the Conqueror of Azeroth yesterday, and I must say, story aside, which actually looks interesting, but repetitive...I mean, Garrosh part 2 ? Alliance and Horde rebellions again ?
The neck system looks ridiculous, much less exciting than the weapon system of Legion, I mean, there's a dwarf in a cave in Silithus activating essences we get here and there, and that's it, collecting AP from the world to push its level up... blarrgh.

A few things I want to try before AFK time again, is the Brawler's guild part 3 and try some dueling..

My tendinitis turned worse this week, so my engagement has been mostly with puzzles in Nazjatar LOL.

Ah, I've been leveling allied races...for achievements sake, and with the purpose of having all classes on Silvermoon. I had to build an Excel table with all the class-race-faction combos I have/need-to-have. Some already have heritage armor, all will have sooner or later.

In Guild Wars2...I've got all the mounts, except the PVP one, and there's a new one which I started to go for but somehow lost interest...I mean, I also lost interest in "The Mind" WoW mount, so I'm kinda loosing interest in general :P

I think The Witcher 3 gave more fun in 3 months than MMORPGs gave me the last 3 years.

And I kinda knew it.

Battlemaster !

From late 2005 to ... 2018. Thirteen years it took me, but I did it. Master of Warsong Gulch + Master of Alterac Valley + Master of Eye of the Storm + Master of Arathi Basin = Battlemaster Title.

No mounts, no pets, nothing, except a freaking AWESOME title. There is 1 Battlemaster for every 10.000 players or so. It cannot be bought with gold of USD. You cannot be boosted. It takes time. skill. perseverance. You cannot be carried for it, not like "The Chosen".

All in all, a great achievement, may be my best achievement. And it's done.

Now...let's go for Kahn :)

Legion is Over !

4th of July (how appropriate), Nasdaq holidays, so I took the time to finish my last self-challenge in WoW legion...do Mage Towers... a lot of them !

Job done. 18 Challenge Modes overall are completed as of today...may be a few more in the next days, but I doubt it.

All 3 on warlock (of course, main is main) (897)(?)(?)
All 3 on paladin (main-alt, and had tank and healer challenges) (932)
1 on havoc DH (932)
1 on Assassin rogue (my fav. spec)(932)
1 on Unholy DK (930)
2 on Druid (Feral..loved the skin, and Resto because I wanted a 2nd healing MT done)(931)(933)
1 on Windwalker monk (925)
1 on Fury Warrior (931)
1 on Discipline priest (917)
1 on Beastmaster hunter (925)
2 on Enhancement/Elemental shaman (927)
1 on Arcane mage (my last) (925)

While doing it I covered Mage Tower for:
- 18 challenges overall (out of possible 36 = 12 classes x 3 specs)
All 12 classes
- All 3 roles (dps, healer, tank)
- All 7 unique challenges (Tugar, Sigryn,Xylem,Agatha,Kruul, Raest,Ethris)
- 1 one-shotting, first and only trial (Discipline priest)
- At least 1 down below 900i (897 as destro lock, the first MT I downed)

I did 11 before the 24h up/Artifact corruption sucking from the Sargeras weap. in Silithus, and 6 after that. I think that's enough. I'm pretty sure I'd get to 36 with 1 more month or two, but tbh, it's REALLY enough.

Meanwhile, of course, I did some other things, mostly PVE, a lot of Legion hidden mounts and pets quests.

I also finished the Glory of Legion Hero (it was not so hard, I could solo a few HCs and could solo stuff).. and I finished a raid Glory (Thunder..something in Pandaria, forgot the name) because I was able to ressurrect my alt account for a weekend, and did some achievs that required 2 players).

The only think I could still do but tbh it requires a Raid is to get the "Chosen" Title, but id doesn't depend on me, and atm I cba getting in a raid with a bunch of idiots who will whine/leave. The other non-idiots require members with Chosen or Myth done to get Chosen or Myth done, so it's kind of...impossible ? Oh well, I missed Immortal in Naxx because I didn't wanna go with my friend Hageneesjuh when we were overpowered and would have done it, eons ago, it won't matter much.

Ah, I've read the book, Before the Storm, so that finally I know what I'm doing and WHY I'm doing it in BFA.
I had enough of WoW as a game, I want to feel more immersive, to know the characters properly or stop playing altogether :)
And there's one thing I wanna do for BFA...go to Undercity, and KILL SYLVANAS

Another iron bites the dust

Damn damn damn.

After a successful reinitialization of my WoW campaign in January, that saw me finishing a lot, a LOT of achievements, from the affliction artifact challenge to Paragon of Argus, to Lord of Reins (300 mounts, yay!) to Master of Eye of the Storm (10 years to finish a master degree, yay!), i was thinking of going on another break.

But then...i restarted playing the Ironman challenge. Looked like 7.3.5 would make it insanely harder, so I had a rogue 30... and I decided to restart. A few days later, just before the patch, I got to 61.

And then 7.3.5 came up and oh boy, it got INSANE. But I still managed to get to 64. And then...I found out that exploring was giving me ~1K per discovery, and about 1 entire lvl free. I thought it could go away at 65, so I went for it...

AND DIED...lost focus in Azshara, after nearing Orgrimmar, I explored the entire zone and in the end, went west and suddenly.. I was targetted by a skull...some horde scum guard...and DIED.

On the positive side, Guild Wars 2 Path of Fire has been pretty fun, its mounts are way better than WoW, and you really need to master some skill to "drive" them.

Long Time no Post

Six months have passed, Winter has come, Night has fallen and the foul are abroad.

Jokes, apart, it's been fruitful, mainly on the Single player front. I stopped/paused/? playing World of Warcraft, after getting the Demonology artifact achievement.
It became a bit boring, though, specially on the ironman front, it has itched me again.

Unfortunately, 7.3.5 will implement Zone scaling, effectitvely (?) killing the ironman challenge, as any idiot and his mother will be able to level up a lot by simply killing the same mobs on the same zone. Hopefully, the challengers will change the rules in order to cope with this, as, since my last attempts (up to lvl 85), I've not been properly single-challenged in WoW.

Well, the Artifact challenges were nice, but still...not so much.

Ok, as to other games... Guild Wars 2, not yet started the new Expansion, but probably will do so the next days.
LOTRO, I've restarted playing with friends and I've done all quests in Minas Tirith, and I'm now bound outwards towards Minas Morgul :) at lvl 105 or so.

Single Player, I've played Hearthstone (OMG, I'm quite liking it now, too bad I didn't start playing it when it came out, ) and Sierra / tribute games: King's Quest, the 5 Episodes. After finishing "Dreamfall Chapters", I'd be wanting some single player puzzle challenges, and I can proudly say I did 99.9% of King's Quest by myself, no help from walkthroughs except a stupid puzzle that was so easy (the answer is : NONE, and by now, those that played the game know what I'm talking about) and I failed to get it.

I'll be back, but if not...

Happy New 2018 !

On accepted challenges !

Accepted and completed...hurrah. This was not quite as hard as the green fire quest, but I completed the Destruction Warlock Legion challenge (Tugar and Jormog) with 897i (see below, I wanted to make sure I did it below 900i) and got the appropriate achievement for it. Quest is "FelTotem's Fall".

As an advice for fellow locks, I'll leave my strategy. I used a pre-pot and ofc a flask and food. I had 4 interrupts available: This Mortal Coil (joke)(45sec), Spell Lock(24sec), Grimoire of Service-Felhunter(1.5min) and ofc Fear. I used fear mostly for the Earthquake cast but also sometimes for Felburst cast. Focus always on Jormog because of the Sonic Scream cast.
Don't forget to refocus when he comes out of hiding (/target Jormog /focus target /targetlasttarget /cast [target=Focus] Havoc)
Unending resolve comes handy when you have no interrupts available and it's too late to cast Fear so you know you're gonna get a Felburst right in your face.
Talents: Backdraft, Rev. Entropy, Mortail Coil, Soul Harvest, Demon Skin, Grimoire of Service, Soul Conduit.

So next in line is Demonology, Sigryn and its "The God-Queen's Fury" quest. Seems hard because it has 3 mobs to deal with and a bunch of valkyries aiming at you.

Only a bit more WOW :)

Yadayada I quit and all that. Well...Blizz gave me a free 7-days and I figured, why not try and get the class mounts, now that 7.2.5 is out ?

So I went back and got all of them ! Yay, 12 different class campaigns.
Well, it took me a few more days, so I'm still on for a month.
The quests are not that difficult, but the fact that most of my chars are below 850 made it a bit of a challenge.<850 a="" actually="" and="" bit="" challenging.="" hard.="" it="" mage="" makes="" more="" p="" trials="" warrior="" were="">

<850 a="" actually="" and="" bit="" challenging.="" hard.="" it="" mage="" makes="" more="" p="" trials="" warrior="" were="">What to do with the rest of the month ?

- There's Black Temple revisitation week, an idiotic implementation of Timewalking, where your character can enter it once, then you get saved, and then you're no longer invited for other groups because... you're saved. That's deprecated code being effectively used as a "new raid feature" for 7.2.5. Blizzard has become a JOKE.

- There's Chromie scenario. I've saved 5/8 but I guess it needs a lot of reputation to effectively be able to finish it. Furthermore, it's damn confusing, both in gaming and position/movement terms. All in all, another messy thing, chaotic even. Thank god there are offline guides, but it shouldn't be so hard. Fuck, even the Suramar one better, the wandering army scenario or whatever it was called.

- There's a pet dungeon scenario.. Guess i'm gonna try that

- There's the brawling guild.

- There's the Kil'jaeden ramp up in LFR. Probably won't make it to the end, but I can always spend a few hundred thousand gold and get carried.

- Ah, and ofc there's the triple challenge quests (yes, dual for DH) at the Broken Shore. At least for my lock, 895, I should be able to do that. Yes, lets do that!

No pics, I'm lazy. Now back to work :)

Last but not least, I've followed her for a few years, and she's graduating, so congratulations Lana, my favorite gamer (and an artist !): https://www.twitch.tv/shadowila

HIatus

A long long time has passed. I've not been idle. But still...

I waited for 7.2, getting all my 12 chars up to to 110. A major achievement.
Then, 7.2 came out and I proceeded to empower all my 110 characters through the new campaign. The idea is/was to get all the class mounts. Another major achievement LOL.
Of course I quickly got flying in ... omg I already forgot the name of the new zone. Lost Isles ? Echo Isles ?
Meanwhile I was finally able to get all professions to 800. Another major achievement.
But I did not succeed getting Mythic+ runs with the guild or alone... I got so bored I couldn't help myself. I did some Kara Heroics and that was about it.
Ah, meanwhile, I got the Hidden Artifacts for my warlock, by getting 30 (down from 110) dung. runs, some 1K PVP kills and 200 WQs done. Another achievement (not a major one kkk).
But then...somewhere through the progress of 7.2, before the Tomb of Sargeras opened (dunno if it is open by now) I got more and more bored...and I quit.

Yes. I quit. Well, I've quit a few times so this is just another one. But it felt really nice. NO MORE WOW.

Quickly, I went back to Guild Wars 2, update my HoT adventure status to current, and then, started to play solo games again.

Dreamfall Chapters !

YAY. I love it. During the process I had to to a major machine reinstall, but didn't loose saved games on some other games like Witcher, so I'll get back to it to finish it, after Dreamfall Chapters are over.

I'm liking Steam very much. Achievements, forums, a sense of community. Not bad at all.

Then there's Layers of Fear. I just got acquainted with their expansion, "Herança". I finished the game last year with my daughter and some friends, we had a terrific time together in the living room, a 55" TV, a DOKO streaming from my PC, 1080p... and lots of fear and screams. AHAHAH. Amazing.

LOTRO...I uninstalled it. I wanted to keep playing with my RL friends but all quit so...
RIFT; same thing.

This week I (re)installed Sierra's Kinq's Quest revamped series. My anti-demential alarm tells me I already played the chapter 1 and finished it, but since I forgot it, might as well play it again, Sam.

Legionnaire

Woo, so Legion came out. And yes, of course (/giggle), I was attracted to it. I was able to lvl three characters to lvl 110, my warlock, paladin and rogue.

Of course, the idea is to level them all up, and Class Halls help a lot, once you get to lvl 101 and you get "XP missions". That's been my path to most of the other characters, just do the artifact and class hall missions, since they are fun, and not repetitive (there's 12 of them !).

I really really hope I won't have to level all their reps to friendly to open world WQs.

Meanwhile... Blizzcon was out, legacy servers did not came up as a topic, and unsurprisingly, the Nostalrius team made public that they will make source code public (Elysium server gets it first).

Good for them, can't wait to look at it !

As to gameplay itself, my two mains on Silvermoon (yes, moved Net to Silvermoon, since Haunted Heavens friends stopped playing, even May, the GM stopped playing. So it made no sense for me to stay and just say "good moaning" and "nn guild".

On Silvermoon, my guild Quie is alive, it allow us to at least go Mythic-5, I'm now attuned to Kara. Unfortunately, atm, not enough for raiding, but as a healer, Moonprince has ofc a spot for raids, and I was able to finish 10-man Normal Emerald Nightmare. It's also the server where I created my DH, currently at lvl 104, Shareth..ia. Damn, Shareth name was taken :(

Net completed the Pathfinder achievement, meaning, I'm now ready to fly in 7.2. Until then...I'll have to lvl PVP to 50 (35 atm) and then...do Kara, may be. Not much else to do that is completely new, after I get all reps to exalted.
On Aggra, my other alts are commanded by my 110 rogue, which I'll use for ganking mostly, and they are being leveled by class hall XP missions.

My rogue in Stormwind killind Mathias Shaw...with Mathias Shaw. WTF !? :)

The good part is all those alts have class hall and artifact missions. That's what I'll probably be doing the most, having diversified fun.

RIFT, I stopped playing, my RL pals kind of gave up, one of them got to 64 and I was hoping I'd get some help to do 65 quests in the new patch, but alas...no.

LOTRO...same, now pals to play with, and quests get kinda boring. Damn.

GW2, after I got my legendary crafted, the pleasure of playing considerably decreased, and I was a few months afk. Now I returned to watchout for new Living Season episodes and I got an entire new area, a volcano-like island down south. We'll see how it goes.

All champs 850 equiv. "Ready for Gold Making" !

Glory of the Late Draenor Hero

Two months later, a few single player games like The Witcher, Layers of Fear or the Vanishing of Ethan Carter and a new episode of Guild Wars2, I resubbed WoW to play the legion pre-patch events.
Silly events, just like those in vanilla for TBC or others I played, but at least, not bugged, and easy/fast to complete.

And then I remembered three things I missed from Dreanor.
1 - The Pandaren Hide from Ashran.
2 - The Garrison bosses and a few Platinum modes
3 - The Glory of Dreanor Hero, 6 hard achievements in UBRS and Skyreach !!!

Glory is done thanks to a great group and a vice-leader that leaded way better than I did :) . Damn kids are so more mentally agile these days...or may be it's me getting old and messed up.

The Platinum modes are done, but cba farming possible hipothetical garrison bosses. It's a thing for later on, may be I'll get lucky with LF custom.

The Pandaren...that's a pain, thanks to the IDIOTIC decison of creating mandatory raids for Ashran. Fortunately there's a "LeaveParty" script command that sometimes work and leaves you raidless but still in Ashran. Unfortunately it's only sometimes like that. The proble with the mandatory raids is that you farm pandas, you kill pandas, you LOOT pandas, and then...some idiot miles away needs on my loot and gets it because of my poor luck. Happened twice already.
Then there's the problem of having one panda in the whole Ashran, if we're lucky, one panda in 40 enemies.

But wait , there's mercenary mode, and you can get a panda hide in mercenary mode.
Unfortunately...MERCENARY MODE isn't working, only for some realms, it seems. Once in a while I see a mercenary, but on my servers I can never ever join a mercenary raid.

I dont want to spend 50 bucks to buy Legion for my 2nd account only to get a free horde 100 panda only to...kill it and get a hide.

Oh well... two weeks to Legion, a bunch of Demon Hunters all around. Been killing them like flies LOL.

PS: Got a MSI GTX 1060 and couldn't be happier. Yes it was more expensive than the RX480. But the AMD card was way worse than I expected, performancewise, heatwise, wattwise.

The Witcher

After an inner debate of wether I wanted to proceed on a MMORPG that felt like a solo, or do some real solo casual gaming, I decided for the latter.

Bloody Nvidia is charging 500€ for the 5TFLOP GTX 1070...no way Josay ! and my ageing HD 5770 can't cope with the 2016 titles that well.

While I wait for my 200 USD RX 480 AMD, announced for June 29th, I decided to start with The Witcher I, then II, then III...while installing one more just for some family fun. LAYERS OF FEAR !

I also installed Dragon Age, Talos Principle, Homesick, and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

So. The Witcher. The Prologue wasn't that captivating, but Chapter I was.

It took me a bit of time to learn how to combat, loot, and stuff, but things are now on track.

Chapter 1, a lot of quests to do in the outskirts of Vizima. It went ok. Kind of. I'm too soft at heart, so I'll just talk about the ladies.
First is Triss, of course, the witcher and sorceress. Looks like it's love at first and last sight from Geralt, our main character.
Then there's Shani, a friend that Geralt lost memory of, and one we take to Vizima for the next chapter.

There's also Abigail, the nice witch in the card that I got because I kind of responded to her affection. Looks there'd be more girls, like one I saved from bandits and stuff, but I guess I didn't spot the "cupid" timing. Oh well, there's always Chapter 2.
I also tried it with an inn maid, but it didn't work out at all, she called me a pervert, and left :-)

Dead on arrival

Oh man, my WoW ironman girl died at 85 in Pandaria. I had just arrived at the 85 zone, did the first quests and then... lost focus, after requiring a Shadowmeld, I did not wait the necessary 2 mins, and made the same mistake, then panicked, did not think through those 10-15 secs my panic lasted, and then...surrounded by a pack of mobs that kept dazing me...RIP.

Needless to say, I don't feel like restarting. Besides it all, I did break several records, and would set them if I would get to 100.
- First Ironman on Silvermoon
- First European non-hunter.

Boy that hurts. Even if I would start again, I would not be ready before the pre-Legion patch, where they make a lot of changes and the challenge, as it is nowadays, ends.

So...got to 85, it was a HELL of an adventure.

Uninstalled everything, deleted all my challenge episodes, and I'm now officially in grief.

Gonna play some Dragon Age or another solo game for a while. Dreamfall, may be.

To true legendaries and vanilla WoW

Three things happened the last days (well 4, I got my ear dizziness up and rocking, damn thing's worsening).

The first one, Shaniron, my 65 iroman died, after a power down event at home, because someone decided turn on a water heating cup when washing machines were on and ofc when I was killing a mob in Terokkar. Damn damn damn, I'm up to 63 with my fresh new Shaniron but man, was I angry.

The second one, a happier happening, I finally crafted my Guild Wars 2 legendary, [The Bifrost] ! Took me, I'd say, two years or so, but greatly gratifying, because it allowed me to see the entire content of the seasons, bosses, fights, zones, etc. Thank God for a great GW2 Community and Open Community , where people go together to do insanely hard things you couldn't manage on your own or in a small group.

The third one... it seems there was a Vanilla WoW private server that was incredibly populated, just like the old days of 2005-2007 I loved and it was closed because of a Blizzard lawsuit, cease and desist typical, like they do with every threat when things start to go "too" popular. It happened, e.g. with Glider, the botting software.
Nostarius, the server, had about 1 million accounts, with 150k people logging daily. On a single, lagless, ultra-pop'ed vanilla 1.X server. Amazing achievement, ran by 30 volunteers, not profit-based.
Of course, it's a fairy tale, because Blizzard has a thing called business, and so, it was only just a matter of time before this would happen.
Still, it shows how WRONG Blizzard has gone with their path for WoW. Garrisons were an absolute joke, this xpac (so bad I did forget the name.. no legion, not mop, not cata..well this one, the current 6.2.x, omg I did forget about its name!!) was horrible.
It is horrible because the sense of community has gone away, helped by the dwindling subscribers. This is no longer a game for groups of players. It's a casual game for loners to sometimes join and do some basic things, not caring about each other, to just get things done and begone with it.
And that's the thing Blizzard didn't understand, why 1 million of (probably ex-) their subscribers went rogue, for a vanilla server (notice, not a private xpac server!!!) with NO LFG, where legendaries (that's the GW2 reference) are hard to obtain and NOT everyone has them, where mobs hit so hard you have to use all your abilities to put a pack down, but where people feel they are actually having FUN with each other.

That's also the reason why I'm doing the ironman challenge. I need to feel I'm having FUN, doing something hard. Like e.g. a 5-UBRS in 2005.

And that's the thing I've been getting from GW2, while getting money and mats to craft my precursor and then my legendary, over two years. FUN.

Ironing is hard (II)

I'm still alive ! And I'm lvl 60, starting in OUTLAND !

Wee, a few tries later, Shaniron, my nth attempt at the Ironman challenge, finally launched like a ROCKET. I crossed the 28 death mark level of my 2nd monk, then I crossed the 33 death mark level of my 3rd monk and then...I never stopped. Until now, that is.

I'm the first guy on EU-Silvermoon to be registered on the wowchallenges site and properly do Ironman to lvl 60 !

Asmongold is at lvl 75.

There are only 11 ironmen registered in the whole world !
And... am I going to become one of this rare class ? Pray that I do.

I'm feeling that Outland is hard, Hellfire, with all its underground mobs, a Fel Reaver, packed spots, mines, and all that stuff. But at least I'm flying, something that I kind of missed in Azeroth.

I'll stop now for a few days, my account despawned after 30 days and I want rest XP, which I hope will continue for 10 days. 1 bar every 1/3 days gets blue,  so 20 bars = 1 level = 6.66 days. If I remember correctly, the rest XP goes up to 1.5 levels so that means 10 days rest.

I need a rest. Lvl 60 and I'm exhausted ;-)

PS: Blizzard, don't hurry with that silly Legion prepatch and its changes, namely, the "AUTOMATIC" specialization that will ruin the ironman challenges for everyone. Take yout time.

Ironing is hard !

Shandrilia, the Iron Girl runner.

After a bumpy start, with:

- my druid killed at lvl 19 after attempting to kill a rare
- my shaman killed at lvl 21, after attempting to kill Razormaw, the hardest mob in Bloodmyst Isle
- my first monk, killed at lvl 13, after carelessly pulling two lvl 14 blood elve spys...

I'm now lvl 26, going past 25% of the challenge, ready to punch into Stonetalon Mountains.

The thing I'm most afraid atm is DCs, panicking, or pulling a lvl ?? or too high lvl by mistake. And rares. And "evaded". And simply being reckless.

I've been streaming on twitch, and recording episodes, and will probably publish them on Youtube, to help those that wanna see Kalimdor from an Ironman's (ok, girl) perspective.

Rare occasion

Just reactivated my WoW account. I'll be attempting the Ironman challenge and finish the Glory of Dreanor Hero dungeons, as I only miss six achievements.

Ironman went fine...for a while. I leveled my druid in Darkshore until level 19, when I found a rare, which had company, and I decided to give it a try. Of course, it failed horribly wrong, and...I died.

Well, better at level 19 than at level 99 !

So...after some mourning of Panoramia, I decided it was time to create a new class and race, as I miss several races in my characters. Draenei was one of them, never liked the male guy.

But the lady dreanei is beautiful, specially after the graphic revamp, so I went for it.

Then I looked at the Wowchallenge.com honor list, and noticed that Shamans are even more rare than the rare that killed my first iron girl.

So... Shaman Draenei it is !

Currently at Level 20 atm, position 1358 in the Ironman challenge, meet Shandrilia, the Iron Shaman !

EDIT.

And... I died as a Shaman. Long story short, never engaged a boss that marks the end of a zone before reading about it... and not when the women of the house are talking like chicken around you.

I lost concentration...a damn undead dragon called Razormaw feared me, and then it was over !

THIS SHIT IS HARD !

Iron Girl !

While not paying for WoW, not even gold, I read a bit about the Iron Man challenges for World of Warcraft and decided to check or not it's too boring to do it.

There are rules for the Iron Man Challenge.

You have to get from lvl 1 to Max level, WITHOUT dying, wearing white gear, with NO class specialization, talents, glyphs, pots, food, buffs, boosts, heirlooms, etc. Cannot go into dungeons to level, do pet battles.

There's nothing about doing it on a PVP server or not. Of course it takes REAL balls to level a character like this on a PVP server, because all your effort can go down the drain the second you're spotted by some bastard of the opposite faction. It really does not make any sense, and it can give you a heart attack. So...i'll go for a PVE server.

I'd like to try it with a Demon Hunter, since I'll probably level one anyway. But it doesn't hurt to try it with a druid, or monk, classes that I leveled PURELY in dungeons, healing.

I'm giving it a try.

Check out Panoramia, my beloved lady druid, wearing her funny white gear at lvl 12, parked in New Auberdine, Darkshore.
